I'm Aiden Thorne and I play children's card games competitively. I grew up playing card games and literally lived inside of a hobby shop for most of my youth. Coming as no surprise, that meant I played a lot of tournaments — eventually reaching the top of the DCI rankings in Duel Masters and Kaijudo before those games ended and I moved on.
Along the way I wrote competitive content for Wizards of the Coast, Pojo, and Alter Reality Games. I've coached players who have gone on to top major events. That's the standard I hold this site to — if it's not good enough to actually help someone win, it doesn't go up.
These days my other interests run toward AI and cybersecurity, which is part of why this site exists as a proper tool rather than a screenshot in a Discord server. Now I'm back playing card games seriously with Riftbound, and RiftStats is how I'm documenting that.
